I have been involved in various aspects of dog sports since I was a kid, finishing my first show champion, Tory, Belgian Sheepdog Ch. Rolin' Ridge's Victory of Vicon, when I was 13. At our very first show together, Tory, at the tender age of just 6 months, was RWB to a major at the Potomac Valley BSC Regional Specialty. We came back to the same show 12 years later to win the Veteran's class.

Throughout my teenage years I exhibited Belgian Sheepdogs in conformation with my mother, under her kennel name, Vicon, and we enjoyed many memorable times. At 17, I handled Shiloh, AOM Ch. Vicon's Osage Shades O' Victory, HIC, to Winner's Dog and AOM at the BSCA National Specialty. After graduating from college and few years spent migrating throughout Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and West Virginia working as a contract archaeologist, I settled in Arizona accompanied by my then geriatric Belgians. Upon their passing, and after much reflection on a change of breeds with an interest in performance venues, I actively returned to dog sports, this time with Border Collies, and Kirby.

While I still have a profound appreciation for the Belgian breed(s), Border Collies have ruled my roost for over 13 years, and I look forward to a long and ever-developing involvement in the breed.

Currently I sit on the 2011-2012 Board of Directors of the Border Collie Society of America, the AKC parent club. Additionally, I am a founding member of the Border Collie Club of Arizona and currently serve as that club's Vice President for 2011. For four years I have been the Conformation Editor/Columnist for the BCSA's bimonthly member magazine, Borderlines.

In October of 2009, I had the great honor and unique pleasure of judging all of the Sweepstakes classes at the Border Collie National Specialty in Jefferson, WI.

Professionally, I have a background that includes a wide range of experiences, and currently I manage the design department for a residential remodeling company, where my interests in form, function and aesthetics come together in everyday applications.
